Animal Cruelty by kaitlynmcbride703

This is a rising issue today. Cruelty inflicted upon animals has been brought nationally to attention with commercials, groups, websites, and headlines. As most of us know, the famous football player Michael Vick, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, took part in a dogfighting ring and was tried and jailed for it. Animal cruelty is a serious thing we’re talking about here. Millions of animals die each year due to thoughtless acts of violence let out on defenseless animals. They have  no idea what they’ve done wrong, and they love their masters more than they love themselves, so there’s nothing they’re going to do but lay down and take it. Animals are poisoned, tested on, struck, kicked, ran over, even shot and killed. Most of the time they’ve done nothing wrong, and if they have, the punishment is taken far beyond what it should be.

This is a truly saddening problem today, and all of us need to take action to help the animals out there undergoing these terrible conditions. They need voices.

We have them.
